9D Breathwork reports that more than a million people across eighty countries have been through its programmes. Ermitage built the systems that move its money and measure its business, and now leads engineering on the flagship product itself, taken over from the outside agency that started it.

01

Problem

A fast-growing company selling high-value certification programmes needed its money infrastructure to be auditable. Instalment plans had to divide correctly. Commissions could never double-pay across a multi-level partner network. And revenue needed one number the whole company could act on, from four systems that disagreed.

02

Approach

Three systems, each owned from the database to the interface. The checkout platform takes high-value payments against a ledger that always reconciles. The partner platform computes commissions with hard idempotency guarantees and accepts verified events from the services it depends on. The analytics platform resolves around twenty sources into governed metrics with a single definition each, built from the warehouse up.

03

The standard

All of it shares one requirement: correctness on every path, including when a payment provider retries a notification, a customer's card fails mid-plan, or someone completes a session offline. Correctness of that kind is not a feature added at the end. It determines the shape of the system from the first design decision. Scale figures above are as published by 9D Breathwork.
